    Am I Getting Bad Advice?

Hello all, total noob here. Let me first say that I just discovered this site yesterday and I would like to thank all of you that put in serious contributions here. The wealth of information on here is astounding and I'm sure this site has helped many, many people make the right decisions regarding whether or not to use AAS, and how to use them. Kudos to you all. Ok, that's enough ass kissing for one day, moving on....

I am a 38 year old male, 5'8" 185 lbs, who has been lifting off an on since the age of 8. I have always been very athletic and fit, and have never taken any sort of AAS. I eat very clean and still work out regularly. I am am carrying around about 5-10 extra pounds right now that are very hard to shed, plus I would like to look more toned with a little more mass. A few weeks ago I decided that I wanted to try AAS to get the gains and weight loss I've been looking for, so I approached two good friends that are both pro body builders. Both of them are very excited for me and both want to get me on a starting cycle involving Tren and either Deca or Win. Both assured me that there will be no ill side effects and will be nothing but positive gains. After doing some limited research and browsing over this site for hours, I'm coming to the conclusion that this advice is just off. It does seem that Tren is a great thing, but I am reading about the atrophy it may cause, and also this horrible "Tren Cough", none of which I want to deal with, especially the atrophy. Also I am reading a lot about how you never know how your body will react to certain types of AAS and how it is better to always just start with Test, just to see what happens and to be prepared.

So I guess my main question here is....

    1) Am I getting bad advice?

    2) If I do go the AAS route, what would be the best way to go?

    3) Are there any ways of doing this without negative side effects like my friends are telling me?

    4) Should I just say F it and stick to my normal routine?

Thank you all in advance. Hopefully I haven't come off like a total noob here

if you do run a cycle make it around 500mgs of test a week for 10-12 weeks with an AI like armidex or aromasin and you should be ok. stay away from the deca and tren since you never used steroids before

The only atrophy youll be getting on tren is testicular. Also, if you didnt hear it here, its bad advice 99.99999% of the time.

    I agree with both assessments.

Post a days diet and we can critique that issue and that might be what is wrong.

LOL... That is one of my biggest fears and is one of the main reasons I have never done AAS. I love my balls the way the are. Does this always happen? My friends are telling me they have never experienced the testicular atrophy on Tren, nor the cough. I would imagine a little atrophy wouldn't be so bad, especially if it eventually comes back. These guys both swear by this Tren as the way to go for me.

More questions... Why is it better to start with a Test for the first time as opposed to Tren? Is it strictly because you have no idea how your body will react? If so, why is it safer to go with a Test, such as Test Prop? Also, are there any cycles that won't have negative side effects? I'm not looking for massive gains or anything, so I'm assuming that not going very heavy with the first cycle is the way to go and will lessen the chances of ill side effects. Am I wrong?

The advice is questionable at best. As others have stated a test only cycle is recommended for a first timer.

Normal everyday diet for me is...

Bowl of oatmeal in the morning

Grilled chicken and vegetable for lunch

Either, chicken, pork, fish, or beef (all grilled) with vegetable for dinner.

Also throw in a protein shake in between lunch and dinner.

I use very low sodium, and always use sea salt (the good stuff) when using salts. My biggest problem right now is I am addicted to ocean spray cran grape juice, which I drink mixed with water, but still has a high sugar content. I have to cut that out, but it's my one vice.

Eat more, throw in about a dozen eggs and a half gallon of skim milk split between meals.

You need to check out the diet forum. Make sure you read the sticky's.

You need to drop those shakes also. Add real food, your body will love you for it. And yes, try and kick your habit. Find something else to drink.

Remember, that you can use all the gear you want, but if you have the wrong diet, the gear falls on the way side.

You could use test prop for 8 wks, but, you need to inject everyday or every other day. That's why test e or c is recommended. You only have to inject every 3.5days.
