just that how much does the bar on a smith machine wieght? i know it's not 45 but what is it if anything 25?

I have heard different weights for a smith machine. On some you can read the label or nameplate and it will tell you there.

At my gym we have 2 machines, one bar weighs 15 lbs the other they tuned to make it 45 lbs.

The smith machine at my gym weighs 15 lbs. It's funny to watch guys stack on the weight and think they are bad asses, not knowing the bar only weighs 15lbs!

the one i have at my house weighs 25 pounds. i just took any weights off and put a scale under it
