so the whole pin reads 100 units? So I should start off using 4units? Seems like hardly nothing. I hope this is right cause then this bottle will last forever!

The amounts we take doesn't look a lot volume wise, but it's certainly effective.

Gear thanks,
how come they dont make slin pins that are more accurate then? Like one that only holds 20units or even 10? It would make it a lot more precise.
I use the U-100 insulin syringes, they're 1ml/cc syringes which hold a 100IU of insulin. They are marked in 2IU increments which I believe is precise enough. These are a 27 X 1/2 gauge pins (0.40 X 13mm).
Be very carefull when measuring insulin. You want to make sure you know excatly how many IU each tick equals to on the syringe, otherwise you could end up taking too much which can lead to all sort of dramas.

Jen,
Are you talking about "pins" or "pens"? I use the same pin the Gear just descibed. Quick, cheap, and easy to read. The pre-loaded pens can be tricky.
I hate to sound paranoid, but if you can't read a slin-pin, you might not want to be doing insulin. You fu<k up with insulin and you are dead.
thanks guys. I'm just being extra safe.
