Thread: Peaked bicep or pointy bicep due to my Rotator cuff surgery?

Unhappy Peaked bicep or pointy bicep due to my Rotator cuff surgery?

About 5 years ago i had surgery for my right torn rotator cuff, i started to lift weights about 2 years ago. And soon realized that my biceps and shoulder muscles weren't becoming symmetrical like everyone else's. There is still pain whenever i do bench press but i learned to use dumbbells for all my excercises now.

My right shoulder always seems to be lacking muscle mass, and my right bicep seems to be really pointy and the peak. Im really baffled and confused!

Could you guys please help me out on how i should go to fix this problem and put more muscle mass on my right shoulder and to fix my right pointy bicep. Maybe some new excercises, rotator cuff rehab?

    Thanks, Robby

I had the same issue with my shoulder when I dislocated it a couple of years back. They wanted to do surgery and I turned it down since the last time I got surgery they screwed up my right hands index finger. And I have yet to have any problems, its almost like my shoulder is stronger then the other one because of my bodies ability to repair things better. Now don't go thinking all surgeries are bad, this was just me.

I don't think the shoulder surgery has anything to do with your bicep being pointy. Thats just the way the body is. No two parts are the same. Go look at Arnolds biceps, one was really peaked and the other not so much. The same with my calves, they look different. Heck even your eyes aren't aligned perfectly. Its just the way nature is I guess imperfectly perfect...

And rotator cuff exercises are great and try some military press but bring the bar to about even with your chin, anymore and you risk rotator cuff stress or injury. Use the bar because your muscles will keep the weight balanced even. Good luck bud

bro looks like you have had a torn long head bicep tendon torn or relocated by the doc. you hace waht is termed a "popeye" arm. the long head bicep has dropped due to the tearing away or relocating the LHB tendon.

Your muscle is so limited in size I can't see how you can worry about such a minor thing.

Why even respond? He is looking for help and you bash him like that? There is no reason to post what you did. For future postings, don't respond unless you have something helpful to say.

To the O.P. I had a similar problem with my right shoulder. My only suggestion would be to stick with a barbell on the exercises you can to try and even things out.

It's the truth. There's nothing abnormal by any means, and the lack of muscle mass is equal everywhere which makes it harder to determine differences.

Go cry somewhere else like a good little girl.

Without starting anything because obviously the O.P. is not responding, almost every post I've seen from you is negative, I just think we need to be mature and give advice instead of flaming people who are man enough to post pictures of themselves.

I give solid realistic advice different from the parroted norm , so that is why many try to argue with my advice but fail in correct facts.

All I see you do is play Dr. Phil like the gay kid at school who wants all the meanies to get along.

I have to agree with Jfew44 that there are MUCH better ways to respond and with Big Truck I dont see a problem except overall size. If you look carefully the picture of his Rt arm is closer than the left which will make the left look even smaller. I really don't think there is a significant size difference between the two arms if the camera was the exact same distance.
