What is Androgel half-life?

I just started a low perscription of Cyp and go in for a blood test in about 10 days. I have been crashing and thought I would use a bottle of Androgel to hold me over, but I want to be careful as to not raise my levels for the test. I was thinking of using it up until 48 hours of my test. Anyone know how long it stays active?

From the FDA, under motabolism:
There is considerable variation in the half-life of testosterone as reported in the literature, ranging from ten to 100 minutes.

to add to that, I wouldn't take it more than 7 days prior to a test just to be safe.
If you really feel like crap than stack it and just let your Dr know you used it for a few days to stay level

i personally think youd be ok with your plan..that's why it needs to be applied every day...maybe the package insert mentions the half life i forgot i havent used it in almost 2 years

One lesson here, never, ever, ever ever ever, throw away good meds, especially when they're not expired . I still have scripts from 2 years ago, even expired they still have most of their potency. They can always come in handy for an unexpected situation.

First and last inject was July 17th. Doc wants me on 200 mgs once a month I plan on doing my next blood test before my next injection in hopes of getting a higher dose.

Go in there with a stack full of studies that all show once a week is necessary for keeping blood levels stable, once every 2 weeks is the maximum recommended by 'experts'.
There's no way you're going to maintain stable blood levels at once a month.

I agree and if he doesn't bump me up then I am going to go somewhere else. I am sure he will raise it when he sees my levels are on the floor. Once I get the dose I want, I'll inject more often. I would have spread out the 200, but I want to come back with low levels.

that sucks man... what were your levels when you started this whole thing? I decided to forget about using the gel and start doing 100 mgs a week. the doc wanted me to do 200 once a month and i have been crashing like crazy. I called his office today and didn't hear back so screw it, I'll deal with it when I get my blood test.
