    Whats the best exersice to really thicken the middle upper back???

    well i like to do narrow grip t-bar rows.

    dumbbell rows
    barbell rows

    Heavy Barbell Rows and deads work the best for me.

    mine didnt start getting big till i did dead lifts

    I agree that heavy weights (rows and deads) are needed to activate the whole back, works for me anyway.
