There are no shortcuts to this game my friend. The only thing that will put solid muscle on is a good diet. No supplement in the world will work without a good diet, its just not possible. The best thing to do is to stay dedicated to your goals, look through the diet and workout forums. What are your stats so we can better assist you.

Well I for one would recommend training solidly and diet for around a year before venturing into any steroids if thats what you plan on doing. You will see good results and can build a solid base to start off with.
What type of "supplements" helped you gained quickly and have you ever been over 170 or is that where you usually stay.
And what is your goal, like a weight, strength goal maybe a certain person that you might want to look like?
Also I would really focus on bring your bf% down, you will lose weight but you'll look bigger because your ripped

Don't beat yourself up so hard man, most of America is way over weight and fat and DONT CARE. You do, so that separates you from the rest. Yes its best to get back into it slowly, just remember this is bodybuilding so the amount of weight you lift isn't as important as someone that wants to be a power lifter.
I'd like to see your workout split and what you do on those days.
If you plan on doing steroids you have to get your BF% down to at least 12 or lower because the higher your BF the higher the sides.
Get you some sci fit kre alkylan-creatine, some protein shakes, glutamine, maybe a NO product like AAKG and if you got extra money some beta alanine. Then make your way to the diet forum and look through it and then post what you have worked out and Nova and Nark can help perfect your diet for optimal results.
Right now I would worry about dropping your bodyfat down lower because at 170 and 20% bf its going to take a while to get to 205 at maybe 8-10% to looked all ripped and buff.

This will enable you to burn that fat off while building muscles and don't forget your cardio.
I Have used protein Shakes Before and that was just for Weight Gain.
I have been away from Weight Lifting for a while now and I don't know what to on the market to buy

maybe either Met ** or O.N. whey isolate protein
and any glutamine for any company will work
now there are other brands that maybe better maybe worse but thats what I use because it fits my budget, there sold locally for internet prices so no S&H, and its effective.
There are other supplements that you'll want to focus in on as you progress such as EFA's, etc but these will give you a good jumpstart
