    BAck Issues!

I broke my back in 1990 and am now back heavy in the gym. My question to you all is since I broke my back I did everything for years with my right side, my back (lats) are not uniform from side to side. Meaning my right Lat is bigger than left on a spread. what kind of lifts could I do to help make myself more uniform. Any help would be apreciated. Thx so much....

how big of a difference is it? if its that big of a difference then jsut work the smaller side heavy and the bigger side lightly. u can do dumbell rows, or if theres any back machines u can do one arm.

There are plenty of unilateral back movements you can do. DB rows, machine rows, cable rows. I suggest mixing those in with your heavy compound movements.

I agree you have to simply work your left side harder then the right. What i would do is stick to isolation exercises. at the end of a set force your left side to do a few more then you did on the right. I had problem with my left bicep being smaller then my right so I always worked my left harder and it eventually caught up so work hard.

You can also do one arm at a time pull-downs for lat width given it does not twist your back.

Alot of good suggestions. Thanks all. Ill start with doing alot of one arm work rather than bar or machnes. Working out a few more reps on left side. As for how big a dif in size from right side to left.? Noticable but probably only to me and other BBers. Thx again.
