    Arrow Anyone uses Grits?

anyone in here uses grits as a carb source. I'm thinking to add it to my diet but was wondering how high is grits in the GI index?

1/4 cup of Quaker's old fashioned grits contains 32g of carbs and 150 cal. looks pretty good but wanna make sure its a good carb source.

I eat grits every morning. They probably have a little higher GI than oatmeal since they're made from corn, and less fiber, but since I can't stand oatmeal, I'm willing to accept it.

Ive been looking to start using grits and found this thread. Right now I use kashi go lean and whole grain bread. I was gonna switch over to oatmeal but it seems to have ALOT of sugar and grits has zero. I think its a decent trade off(the no sugar for alil higher GI an less fiber)

^ rolled oats contain no sugar what so ever, only what you add.
