Pain is never a good sign. Joint pain and gains are unrelated.
nope as voland said joint pain is never good i would sup some glucosamine and cod liver oil if you aint already

I don't know what you do as far as warming up goes, but I find myself that if I don't start with some pretty light weight for a couple of sets, it doesn't matter what I do, my joints are going to hurt.
The main thing that comes to mind with elbow pain for me is if I start to heavy on scull crushers w.o a proper warm up.
