Thread: chest once a week or twice a week?

    chest once a week or twice a week?

    how often should you exercise your chest?

    say 15 sets of chest exercises
    on one day a week


    or 8 sets of chest exercises done twice a week
    separated by 3.5 days
    (one day do high reps low weight)
    another day do low reps high weight)
    along with shoulder (rotator cuff) exercises

    would you grow faster?

    Work it hard enough and all you need is once a week.

    ive read the power lifting templates and they say to split half ur workout in half and do it twice a week... once with low intensity and once with high intensity

    like instead of 16 sets in one day.... do 8 sets on two different days...

    what do you guys think?

    Try it and find out, what works for you may not for many others.

    maybe, the way my current workout schedule is each body part gets 5-6 days of rest. so i work them twice a week at times. i always do minimum 12 sets to chest, 10 reps generally.

    If the time allows, I try to hit everything 2X a week. Whatever I don't get to, I'll start the following week with. That way I am not constantly ignoring the same body part.

    I train everything twice a week and have done so for around 2 months now, size and strength have increased alot! Im following a form of Slingshot Training and will be switching back and forth between once/week and twice/week every 3 months.
    Trust me your body responds well to change, only way to find what works is do it for yourself

    I think i may try going for twice a week for a few months on chest and then switching back to once a week for a few months.
