What should i add to my home gym?

So I have my own basement gym now and heres what I have:

    Squat rack
45lb olympic bar with 515lbs in additional olympic weights
    flat bench
    dumbells
    cheater curl bar
    fore arm curl bar
    about 200lbs reg weights
bar in ceiling for knee lifts
100lb heavy bag (glvoes and shin guards)
cable cross over machine with rope attatchment, lat pull down bar
    eliptical cross trainer
    exercise ball (never use it)
    skipping rope (never use it)

Is there anything i am completely missing out on? I have decided I dont want to go to the gym anymore too much money and always busy so I'd rather just make my own gym amazing.

Depends on how much you want to spend and what your trying to do

I say your missing a lot of very useful machines such as:
    Leg press
    Leg extensions
    Leg curl
    Cable Row machine

If you had those 4 I'd say your set for a while. Now you could add more machines like a hammer row, press, stair stepper and such but as long as you got a barbell and dumbells with enough weights you should be good to go.

Wish I had a home gym

Yeah I know the leg part lacks, My legs are pretty big and I do alot of squats/kick boxing/hockey so I`m not super worried about that right now but I will expand that next I think.

if your flat bench dosent adjust than i would invest in a muti angle bench. hitting muscles at different angles is very effective and im sure u will eventually miss being able to do that like you could at the gym. otherwise you got a sweet setup imo.

Yeah it is difficult to do legs all free weight at least for me. Gotta have machines to complete them at least IMO. Leg press, hack squat, power squat, etc etc you know. Those free weight leg extensions or whatever you call them just won't cut it for me. I tried them, I'll stick to the machine. But with the other body parts its best to stick with free weights. Good luck homie

Yeah my squat rack has safety bars so I use them for bench presses as well I rarely ever have a spotter. My wife is 110lbs and wouldnt be able to help me much.

I have all my equipt. at home too.

I'd say forget the leg press crap, just go squats, deads, cleans, and maybe dbell lunges. I don't use my cables much either. The only leg machine I would want is calves presses of some sort. Personally doing standing calves raises sucks and if I try to throw the bbell on my knees with 300+ it hurts like hell.

You did not indicate how many dbells you had. I always want more dbells myself.

I'd go with the different benches also. The shoulder press bench (90 degree angle seat to back) is hard to find but necessary.

Wish I could find those old school harnces for your head to work your neck.

    Sounds pretty nice man.
I was thinking chin ups, but the bar in your ceiling probably works for that.
    How about dips?

You got basically everything to excercise all the muscle parts.

Chin up bar dammit! I use stoll chairs for dips^^ .

For them have a weighted dip belt.

I have just 2 dumbells which I put the weights onto. I may get some of those boflex adjustable ones at some point. Also I can do chin ups off of the squat rack.

I think my bench goes 90 degrees I`ll have to check later. Thanks for all the ideas, I`ll be adding them to my christmas lists from the in-laws/mom/grand parents. LOL

So you have the Dbells you have to spin the lock back on or clip? Those Bowflex things are like 300-400. I prefer the standard dbells. That way you can do drop sets or pyramid without having to chage the weight. Drop one set pick the next up.

I'd add Dbells and a dbell rack to the mix if that's the case.

Yeah I considered that but I`m pretty quick changing them it has the screw on thing. I would like that but I just but the cable cross over and a cycle so I gotta watch my spending :P I will definitely add all of these things over time I think working out at home is better atleast for me. I love it I feel so at peace in my mind working out there without distractions (cell phones, punks, waiting for equipment etc)

Agree. And I can yell, grunt, spit, fart, cuss, sweat on everything and no one can bitch. I feel like it is just me against the weight...and I can motivate myself more. Plus no spotter and I would hate to drop weight...so I have no choice but to get it up to the rack.

My bench doesn't go 90 degree. I just use a stable chair with good back support. Works fine for me.
