They are doing random drug tests but they dont have a specific list of what they test for. So yes they can test for steroids if they so choose.

Damn. That could have been beneficial in the days before power steering, but thats bull. I think the main reason they would do it, if they do, is so that they wont have the "im a famous person and i do steroids" deal like barry bonds and whoever. That would look bad as all drugs are supposed to make you die/become a criminal/dangerous.

I think its pretty dumb however it would be interesting to see a different study of people who use steroids vs people who dont in none athletic events. I sometimes think it makes me better at sales at my job in fact my best month ever where I made about 12k in one month was while I was on. Coinsidence? I think not but hard to prove the benfits and some would argue that it was just confidence from looking/feeling better....either way i felt it gave me an advantage. Anyone else have any similar experience?

Yeah, I can see the reasoning for testing for amphetamines and/or any outside aid that can affect your nervous system, concentration, or alertness in that sport.
But the steroid testing is probably more to just appease the masses and have universal drug testing is ALL professional sports. Not just picking and choosing which sports gets tested for doping.
