Party in the apartment above me, what should I do?

I have a little problem, there is a party going on in the apartment above me.. and they actually have a party there 2-3 days a week. My problem is not how loud the music is.. it's this stupid f*king song they play!

They play the SAME song, OVER AND OVER again and have been doing that for the last 2 days! Yesterday i was rather annoyed so I turned up the volume on my stereo and soon they got the message and lowered the volume. Now I can't use this method since my parents are visiting and staying with me this weekend (and the time is 6 AM so they are asleep) so I need a new method, any ideas?

I consider myself fairly open minded when it comes to music, but when you're playing a rap song with little or no beat at all and the guys in the song are constantly screaming "I DRINK, SMOKE WE*D AND SNORT "McCain"".. well that isn't music, that is just ridiculous

if i were in your shoes i would just walk up there knock on the door and nicely ask them to turn it down and let them know its bothering you. i would be as nice as possible the first time and i definatly wouldnt call the cops. if it continues after that then use your best judgment but personally i would knock again and when they answered i would bash the stereo into a million pieces with a baseball bat then go home and relax

Simple solution that I came up with when the stupid shit head and his horrible kids would keep me up was to wake up early every day and vaccum the ceiling with the floor vac right under his room for about an hour.

If they are playing the same song , or same type of songs (electronic) then they might be on some X, and in that case they probably do not know how loud it is.

So trick them, and find a way to get a few of them outside of the apartment door, and then get the cop's to be there when they are outside the door, then the cops can get right in and see what is up.

Why would you do that? There is no reason for getting them arrested. Also why cause those kind of problems and be that guy in your apartment complex.

If it was that M.I.A. Paper Planes song, I would just catch my own apartment on fire, taking me and my family out with them. Make sure you block the stairs down with a couch or something first.
