    When on a date

Do you usually sit on the same side or opposite side of the table?

    opposite

  4. #4
do you mean when alone with a date? cause obviously opposite....otherwise it would look retarded...with another couple Id do same side

  5. #5
Opposite sides. I can not stand it when I see a couple by themselves in a restaurant sitting on the same side. I don't understand the logic in it. Don't you want to look at the person you are talking to?

If alone opposite clearly....it would be ridiculous to sit on the same side, unless you have your hand down her pants

I've done them both. Me and my ex would share food so same side resulted in lessdropped food on the table, but Girls think my eyes are "amazing" (there words not mine) so I usually sit on the opposite side when on those first impression kind of dates.

Well proper etiquite states that the woman is always supposed to face the dinning room, and the man is supposed to sit across with his back to the dinning room.

If you're dating your sister, it's acceptable to sit on the same side.

If you sit on the same side as your date every time you hear someone laughing in the restaurant they're laughing at you.

For a date you sit on the opposite side, you don't want to enter her "bubble" unless you are invited to sit beside her, because invading her space on an initial date could make her feel very uncomfortable.

I've dated guys though that insist on sitting right beside me, which is fine if you are in a relationship but not on a date.

    ^^ creepy :-)

i like the 4 person square table - you can sit at the next seat, without being all the way across or uncomfortably beside. doesn't work in a booth though!

I always sit on opposite side. No matter if its relationship, date or whatever. I know and been told the i can do anything with my eyes. I have this thing i was born the i can "speak" with my eyes, i eye pet them, eye fvkk them, eye undestrand them, eye smile (cos i don't normally smile unless i laugh).

But regarding "invading personal space" as a man i gotta disagree with Kats...i i consider every mm of the planet MY personal space so i do what ever i want. I she feels uncomfy is not because of the "invasion" its because during which you're either being creepy or greesy or harasser or needy etc etc.
