    The deal with Oatmeal

OK this is my first post in the diet section and I have been slowly evolving my diet to match a few that I have seen here. The question I have is about Oatmeal. Don't get me wrong I love oatmeal but what kinds are we talking about here? The individual packaged type or just plain ol' oats in a bucket type? Either one works for me I am just curious.

    Cheers

The old fashioned ones in a bucket.
The instant packet kind is loaded with sugar. Sugar should be avoided when unnecessary.

    Measure it dry (1/2 Cup = 150cals, 27g carbs)

steel cut oats are best, but regular old oats are alot cheaper and still a solid choice

I put 1.5 cups of oats in my shakes with 2 scoops of whey and a banana, cup of milk, few strawberries, ice and maaaaan thick ass tastey shake
    In numbers:
    Pro-65 Carbs-140 (35 sugars of which 25 from fruits)- fat-10 (from oats).
    approx 900 cals right there.
