    P90x

My gym has that class going on and I went into it today just for fun/cardio workout and...WOW! It kicked my arse! I don't think I would be able to do it daily since I wouldn't get my heavy lifts in but it's something I may alter a little bit to give it a try. Anyone ever done that kind of circuit training before?

I think it will make you look like a A&F boy if you do it every day.

That's why I would like to do something like it once in a while for the cardio strength but couldn't do it every single day.

It seems like something good for cardio endurance (at least the part I did today, not sure about the others) but I would be careful doing it because of the amount of cals you burn could lead to a lot of muscle lost. Either way, it's a hell of a workout and I felt great after.

Yeah I've heard that a lot of guys are using it in the Army, Marines, etc. Great for combat MOS's I think

    They do it...

I've actually heard good things about it, been meaning to try it myself.
    What does it consist of?

It was all sorts of movements using your own body weight, plyometrics, stretching and then dumbbell exercises. After those we did the cardio workout and the ab ripper program.

I think it felt like it worked so well because it took me away from my normal routine but I would recommend giving those kind of programs a shot.

Word of advice...if you try it with a group or class don't try and be the tough guy and grab heavy dumbbells. Just grab the 20's or your arms might fall off.

Yeah, my arms and shoulders kill right now. Most people were using 10's, 15's and a couple with 20's. I grabbed the 35's...very dumb move. You go from exercise to exercise without rest. I had to fight through it and I'm too stubborn to go switch to something lighter.

Its just sick plain sick, i got the program at home and its complete with diet, cardio, core training and a lot more.

You need a set of dumbells and a chin up bar and thats it.

This is the best thing out there to really change your body and it works.

You really keep pushing every workout try to squeeze and extra rep here and an extra set here.

You dont have to use heavy weights either its more based on muscle fatigue.

I just love it, in fact when my back is better 100% i will start the program and do it til the end.

Mr. big and bad muscles isn't so big and bad anymore lol

When I first did a Navy SEAL training program, I was surprised how bodyweight stuff could kill you. haha, I was drained. Like you said, its hard, but I like the change of pace from my usual lifting routine.

I have just started doing just the ab parts. Let me tell you, it broke me down the first few times, but I have been doing it 3 times a week for the last 3 weeks, and I can honestly tell a difference.

The only bad thing (to me) is you feel like a flaming homo doing it out in the open.

lol try doing dive bombs (push type exercise) in the open!

I would get strange looks, but as people saw the Navy SEAL book, they all wanted to chit chat

i think its a fantastic program for getting ripped. i would like to try it this spring.if you eat right and maybee throw in clen or an anablic of some sort i dont think it will shrik you down to an underwear model. its a program that focuses on the principle of muscle confusion. i have always changed up my workout prog every 3 months and it has worked wonders for me.and at age 36 i have to work alot harder than i did when i was 26 so i think this will help me toward my ultimate goal....to be ripped.(and muscular of course)
