chin ups/pull ups when working out back
push ups when working out chest
Nothing wrong with using them as warm-ups, there fine. But if your goal is building they don't give the needed resistance.
I do chins and wide grip pull-ups but with attached weight so i fail at the 8-10 rep range.
Push ups i use only as a warm up exercise...
pushups are great as a last set.because after a gruelling chest workout i can always push out 12 to 15 reps till total failure. i feel i hit evry last muscle fiber when i do this.
Thats the conundrum i.e. post 2 and 3, warmup or failure, but thanks for tryin guys.-
BTW OlderLifter, thats basically what i was thinking, thanks . I guess ill just have to hit up rocky 2 and start practicing. Thanks Bros.
