Thread: training 6 times a week

    training 6 times a week

    i am trying to bulk up. is it okay to train for 6days a week? or ill get thiner? i only workout for 1 hour and i workout 2 muscles per day. i also eat really well and drink a protein shake 3 times a day to maximize my food and protein intake. thanks! btw im 125 lbs and im 5'6.

    if your training 2 muscles a day 6 days a week then your definatly overworking them. if you want to continue training 6 days then cut it down to one muscle per day

    If you weigh only 125 lbs I would suggest training only 3 days per week (MWF) until you put on some weight. 60-90 minutes each session should do the trick.

    post up your routine for us....


    i think you need to learn what your body can handle. if you respond to this type of workout, then by all means go for it. if not, i think you should scale back and try something different. its all about trial and error when comes to finding out what works best for you.

    remember a good rule of thumb is to change up your routine every 4-6 weeks.

    Agreed. Check out the Rippetoe's program. It's for beginners/those after over-all mass. I used it when I started up and I gained fast. It built me a great base.
