    Static Contraction Training

I am seriouslt considering doing static training... Both my friends are benching upwards of 305-325... Now I understand that I am 5'7" and I will probably never catch them, but I would like to give them a run for their money... I am benching at most 225 right now... I need to know if anyone has ever done static training and is it worth going off of your normal workout and risking losing your gains you have made to try it? Some input please

So you want to increase your bench just to prove yourself to your friends?

If I was 5' 7'' I would be benching 500 lbs, squating 800 and dead lifting 700. Damn long arms and legs.....

how about just workout normal? people always try to do funky things. focus on the 6-8 rep range. your strength will shoot right up.when i wanted a strong bench in my teenager years i just did sets of 6 reps.
