    what the F are egg whites?

    i see these diets sayin 8 egg whites for breakfast. i eat hard boiled eggs so how many hard boild eggs equal 8 egg whites? i cant see eating 8 hard boiled eggs butg i could if i had to.

    well, 1 egg = 1 egg white, 1 egg yolk, and 1 egg shell.
    you purchase egg whites in cartons in the chilled section of grocery stores.

    um 8 eggs with the yolks removed.....so 8 hard boiled eggs ...with the yolks removed

    the egg has two parts the white and the yellow. Just by the pasturized egg whites at your grocery store and use those. Although there is nothing wrong with eating the whole egg. I prefer raw so I use the EggBeaters since they are salmonela free.

    The yolk is rather high in fat and cholesterol and the white is high in protein so it would make sence to remove the yolk and eat just the white. However the combination of yolk and white together give the 'whole egg' 100% bioavailability. I usually eat 1 yolk per 2 whites.

    Don't forget to remove the shells as well....(don't think anybody's mentioned that)

    Just kidding....shells are a great source of calcium.

    The shell is WHITE also but its not part of the egg white so dont eat that ok! LMAO!!
