i used to use it for shoulder when i tore my rotator cuff, it's anti-inflammatory and pretty cool as it can be sent into the muscle via electrophoresis and photopheresis i believe

Side effects -

Metabolic: Negative nitrogen balance due to protein catabolism.

Musculoskeletal: Aseptic necrosis of femoral and humeral heads, loss of muscle mass, muscle weakness, osteoporosis, pathologic fracture of long bones, steroid myopathy, tendon rupture, vertebral compression fractures.

These side effects are present with most Cortico-Steroids and some of the stronger NSAIDs

My experience with Dexa is that is is used a lot to reduce swelling, especially in the brain. You need to be real careful with this shit as you need to ween yourself off it if you are on it for any period of time
