yes it will DHT plays a important role in gains and strength.
damn even at the amount im taking . ..arrg
Yeah even heard of people having problems with half the dose which studies prove low doses(.1-.2) drop DHT level significantly. IDK what to tell you friend. I know its a hard decision and I am lucky not to be prone to male pattern baldness. Its either keep your hair and experience lack of gains or wake up bald and huge. Lower the dose and try things out for a while or start there and see what happens.
would fin be better ,since its not as strong as dutasteride ?
You'll have to wait for someone that has better experience on such things in order for you to get the best advice possible. I was just trying to state some facts for ya. DHT is important for growth and strength, I could go into detail but I got a steak on the grill. But do your research there is plenty of info on and off this website.
thx reed, whats your stats like? .. your diet and stuff im curious pm me
can anyone else give me some insight .
hmm im doing the same for my cycle bro, i gto alopecia from last cycle and dont want to risk it, even if aint MBP prone... from the research ive done in last few weeks.... i think it will have a slight effect but not major , i read on other post that a guy gained 11lb and he was on 1mg a day of duta.... any info of experiance id like to know also as i want to get on in the next month or so...
ok not bad , im going on half of 1mg .. so i dont think it will be that bad , im prone and dbol or test thinned me out , so i have no choice .
Dude, I wouldn't do it lol
Im prone to hairloss and ever since a test cycle 5 years ago my hairs been thinning out. You NEED to pick AAS or hair. The fin may help a little, but the "help" that youll get will also result in less muscle gains, hardness, and strength.
I dont agree with propecia, maybe some people go side effect free, but DHT is very important. It is responsible for not only hardness, strength, and anti-estrogenic properties, but it also provides you with that sense of well being, and a healthy sex drive. Its your call...
hmm i think its more personal experiance.... everyone reacts differently... personally i havent thinned out.. i still have thick hair after using d-bol,var,winni for 20weeks straight.. i got alopecia which i think 90% was from the harsh cycle i did.... ive heard of people running compounds and blocking the dht and still getting good results...
oww and take saw plemmeto.... also helps cut the dht, u need to have a strong anti estrogen on hand..... make sure that isnt a dht compound
angel have you used any fin ?
did you use any dht inhibitor while you were on test ?
bump? anyone else can help me ?
i choose hair, even if it means slightly reduced gains. I am running 1.5 mg finasteride for 320 mg enan, 200 mg deca, and 400mg fina. not that curious to see how i would look bald
I took dutasteride during cycle and it did nothing for me.
I heard deca is a killer for your hair , im doing test only cycle , since i think the dbol is the main culperate for my hair loss .. .DSM dutast did nothing ? .. what kind of cycle were you on . you still lost hair ?
did you only use dutasteride on cycle . .how much did u use ?
did anyone have similiar effects of dutasteride not working for them while they were on test . ?
bump?

i thinned pretty nicely after a 250 test 400deca 50dbol cycle. I promptly took finasteride after the cycle, and for a few months. My hair thickened. I then did a test 500/mdrol cycle, but using finasteride at 1 mg /day. No noticable thinning occured. A friend also mentioned that my hair was thicker in the back than before, so its not just me imagining things.
Draw your own conclusion. I'd use finasteride at 1 mg a day. whats guna looked goofier, you bald, or you with 1-2 lbs of muscle that you never gained on cycle with a nice head of hair.
thx for the info tadpole ima use dutast at 0.5mg a day with my test and see what happens, im glad your hair thickened back up were u prone to mpb?
i think its just individual... everyone responds differently, also depending on how bad the hair damage is.... i am more tricky then just thinning, i got alopeica and nobody seems to know the effects of going back on after getting it
well my hair not that bad , just noticeably alot thinner after my cycle a couple of months ago!
I did not use while on. If youre prone to Male Pattern Baldness, steroids will KICKSTART the process and you will slowly begin to lose hair. So basically if you are "programmed" to begin to lose hair at 40, and you take steroids at 23....you may just start the process right there on the spot and begin to lose hair.
I used fin a few months back for 7-8 months and experienced a very low libido, I had brainfog and anxiety, type propecia side effects into google there is an entire forum for people who experience bad sometimes permanent sides on this drug. Im not a supporter of it, but it may help slow the process of hairloss. And some people do NOT get any sides, dont think everybody does. Like steroids though, its no miracle pill, if hairloss was cureable nobody would be bald.
i had no bad sides from finasteride. The worst that happened was that i did not have morning wood as much. I could have sex just fine. I will say that i was less inclined to think about sex as much, which is not neccesary a bad thing as it helped me focus on real things. I also had less zits.
You could also use Nizoral 2% eod, along with Fina or Duta.
yeh im going to be using nizoral also!.........
i thought test plus proscar , was supposed to be one of the fullproof methods . i guess not . i made a mistake of using gear without the proper dht inhibitors my first cycle , i wont this time , and it will be my last cycle .

My sister in law has her PhD in Pharmacy from University of RI and is now the managing director of an international pharmaceutical firm that specializes in consulting on drug interactions.
I asked about the long term effects of Avodart and the hormonal effect on testosterone, etc. Here is her response:
Since Avodart is also used to treat enlarged prostate, it does have similar side effects as Propecia. Detailed below:
* Since it is used to treat enlarged prostate it would most likely alter your PSA levels, which is a measurement specific to your prostate. (when your prostate is enlarged, the PSA is higher and results in urinary retention and other symptoms. Also, elevated PSA is often a marker for prostate cancer, so when you use Avodart for enlarged prostate it helps relieve the urinary retention and decreases the PSA).
* Guidelines recommend that you DO NOT donate blood while taking Avodart or for at least 6 months after discontinuation due to risk of fetal harm (birth defects) for pregnant women who receive transfusions with the blood. Also, I don't think that you're planning on having any more babies () but just in case Avodart is contraindicated due to the risk of fetal harm
* Possible sexual dysfunction problems and breast enlargement (based on effects on testosterone). (The drug works by inhibiting the enzyme that converts testosterone to DHT). In clinical trials, it did not have a statistically significant effect on estrogen levels, cholesterol levels or bone mineral density (ie. Test for osteoporosis); however, it did have significant effects on testosterone and TSH (a thyroid hormone)- Your doctor could test this with a simple blood test to ensure it is not altered. After discontinuation of Avodart, these blood levels returned to normal.
* It is heavily metabolized through the liver so could be concerns with long-term use (no data seems alarming and they don't recommend any blood test for monitoring, but it could be of concern- since you were asking for long-term risks). (Also, lots of drug interactions so if you ever take any other medications ask the pharmacist/doctor about possible interactions)
I couldn't find anything on fluid retention and based on the drug's mechanism of action it shouldn't cause a problem. There are rare reactions that can cause localized edema (swelling) but you would have already experienced that if it were going to happen.
So far, it seems like you are not experiencing the side effects experienced with Propecia and usually if these side effects are going to happen it occurs in the beginning and resolves by 3-6 months. If you are concerned about your general practitioner monitoring any blood levels, they could test your PSA, TSH, testosterone and liver enzymes to make you feel better about any risks it may potentially have on blood levels.

So I followed up with this question to which you will see her response:
"however, it did have significant effects on testosterone and TSH (a thyroid hormone)"
The effects on testosterone: did it lower the testosterone level ? and what did it do to the TSH ? How will this impact me ? If my testosterone level is lower I think my sense of overall well being is altered and my workouts will be impacted as well ?
Response:
Decreases testosterone thus effects on libido and sexual dysfunction. I would think could effect your stamina/energy for workouts. If you experience a decreases in TSH could make you feel tired and could also make you end up gaining weight but TSH changes are less common.
dht isn't active in muscle to any extent, you'll gain fine without it
