I can't believe 60 Minutes actually was able to show this...

Click here to watch 60 Minutes on how Israel is killing the peace process

Simply amazing that they were able to show this, without Zionists pressuring them to take it off the air.

I almost cried when I watched this clip. How would you feel if foreign soldiers occupied not only your land but your very home? Look at the end how they are bulldozing the home of peoples. What kind of mongrels do this sort of thing? And look at how extremist the Israeli settlers are: they own the land because GOD TOLD THEM SO. That's the bottom line. Behind all the obscurantism of the American Zionists who try to defend everything with palatable explanations, the Israeli settlers just say it outright: we're here to take the land because God told us to do so. And yet the Palestinians are the extremists and fundamentalists, right? Give me a break.

    Free Palestine.

On Zionist Justice and Their Belief in Collective Punishment

"For every 6-8 Jews sacrificed, we kill in return thousands of Gentiles. That is, undoubtedly a spectacular situation, an uncommon success of Zionism." (Migvan, Labor Party, Fall 1982, as quoted in Noam Chomsky's "The Fateful Triangle", p.74)

I know you are being sarcastic, but I wouldn't put it past pro-Israeli members on this forum to take you seriously, so I'll respond. Encyclopedia Britannica:
"By the late 20th century there were nearly four million registered Palestinian refugees." (Encyclopedia Britannica)

(Note: You can move around the log in screen to see the quoted text.)

That includes just registered refugees with the United Nations, and does not include unregistered ones. And the statistic is out of date, as evidenced by "by the late 20th century".

A BBC articles says that the number of Palestinian refugees totals up to "more than six million people, one of the biggest displaced populations in the world." (BBC News)

Six million? That number sound familiar?

Yup, this has been the plan ever since the beginning. Command, conquer and divide. Often times get the divisive factors to fight. Oppress for generations and then give them a token piece of land to be content with and often times they are.

it would be very nice to limits this dicussions / debates to 10 lines or so, rather than write a book that nobody will be able to finish cause readers will just scroll down to read the last couple lines. so lets just keep it simple and try to stay as relevent to the topic as possible.
as for the video, yes it shows a small portion of the picture of what the palestnians are going through but still what you don't see is worse.

i believe that it is impossible for israel to give the land back and the lady in the video proves my point by addmiting the stubborness...they have.

one thing i can't understand, why is it taboo for pro israelis to condemn the wrong doings that the israelis commit, while in the other hand they ask muslims to condemn al-caida or other extrimist groups. it never made sence to me.

I'd probably start killing as many of them as possible, and hopefully the other 150 million Americans who privately own firearms would do the same.

    it's about time we see more like this on american TV, next step is to end American financial support for israel if it doesn't get these settlers out and end the occupation of the WB.. {assuming the US financial system doesn't totally collapse as a result of fighting these damn wars ..}

one note to Simons pessimistic view:
only a % of the WB settlers are fanatics like that stupid woman he was interviewing .. the rest were coerced into moving there by financial incentives by the israeli government-which intern gets financial support from the US
they said they would put up this big fight to get the settlers out of gaza but it was still done in a few days .. so if the west puts the pressure on Israel to make a final status agreement .. then it can get done

One thing that must be noted--and appreciated--is that there are a lot of good Israeli citizens who actually speak out against their government, and who speak the truth.

Here's the problem with the Israeli (anti)democratic system.. because the jewish parties "traditionally" exclude arab parties from EVERY government ever formed-which gives the Arab parties NO political power on any issue.. a government that would pursue a peace agreement based on the withdrawal to the 1967 borders cannot be formed, heres how, the anti-peace right wing parties actually get less than a majority, the tossup party is SHAS- a party made up of 'oriental' jews or jews that come from arab countries, 'arab jews' the Shas party is considered right but it actually served on Baraks labor lead unity government in 2000 and can be persuaded to join a peace government if that government makes concessions on other issues.. so IF Livini would simply invite arabs into the government, than she can form a government w/o anti-peace parties..heres how:

    total knesset seats: 120

    Anti-peace racists
    likud 27
    IBeitu 15
    other rightwing:12
    ------
    54 (with shas)65

Parties that 'could' sign a peace aggreement
    kadima 28
    labor 13
    meretz 3

    (arab):
    hadash 4
    UAL 4
    Balad 3
    --------
    55 (with Shas)66

    tossup:
    SHAS 11
