    New Guy w/ question

    Hello everyone,

This is my first post. I'm 30 years old, 6"1' , 170lbs. I'd like to start a cycle because I"m having trouble gaining weight. I used to be 185lb, but after an injury a few years ago, I dropped to 170lb. I lift four to five days a week and consume a good amount of high quality calories, but I can't gain it back. I've tried just about everything.

Question: what type of cycle is recommended for a novice like myself who wants to gain 10-15lbs of lean muscle? I don't want to blow up overnight, just get steady, lean gains over 8-12 weeks. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for the welcome and advice.

For those who asked, my typical diet:

Morning: Two servings of cottage cheese (2%) with fresh fruit
    Mid Morning: Balance Bar
Lunch: Tuna or Turkey Sandwich and baked chips
Mid Afternoon: Balance Bar or protein shake
Dinner: Chicken breast or pork loin with asparagus
    Before Bed: Protein Shake

^^^^ this is the reason you are having trouble gaining weight. its because you are not eating anything.

too many bars and shakes, you need REAL food, REAL protein

one shake post workout if fine, but don't count on them for your nutrition

take a look in the diet section under bulking diets

Agreed, read the diet section. After weeks of studying for a good cycle and PCT, I realized I would just be wasting my money if I had a poor diet and/or poor workout program.
