anytime the body has to adjust to protein intake whether it is more or just a change , you will experience more gas.

egg farts are the worst I've ever had. Smells like sulfur.....ewwww

its the excess protein. I fart all the time.....we are just shoving more protein in our bodies than it can handle and when its more than the body can handle , we produce MORE gas !!!

You know the strange part about that is I notice I have way more gas on my carb up days, which is kinda weird considering I drop my normal protein intake on these days. So could gas also be contributed to carbs as well or maybe lots of calories in general?

This is how it works. Your body has enzymes to break down proteins fats carbs (lipase, amylase, protease, sucrase, maltase, etc). If you ingest too much food and/or don't have enough enzymes it won't absorb and you basically have partially digested food left in your digestive tract. What happens to food when it sits around for too long? It ferments and one of the byproducts being methane. So lets say you have a specific diet being low carb high protein and it's like that months at a time. Your body adapts accordingly, so one day you decide to flop that around your body has to now adapt to high carbs and doesn't have as much enzymes as required to break down the food causing digestive issues.

This works very well in crowded areas....

I've cleared out the entire dumbbell section of my gym numerous times as well as a few rows in a crowded movie theater

My gas is worse with milk and dairy. Whey totally gases me up. I actually have to take fart breaks at work to avoid disturbing the females!

Thanks for the reply, I can def. see the rational behind your comment. So is this carb up day hurting my body (other than my farts smelling like dead rotting corpse)? Would suplementing digestive enzymes help?
