    BCAA Powder

    Group,

My trainer is reccommending that I use a BCAA suppliment. He suggested the powder vs capsules.

What's the best or most popular BCAA powder. I could do a search, however, there may be new info that has been developed since an older posting.

    Thanks!

I use Xtend. Not the cheapest alternative but per serving its well worth it taste wise and its costs just slightly more. Personally I see no purpose in BCAAs in hypocaloric mode.

depends on your goals. most like to use them before am cardio or during workout... i dont see any purpose in buying them if you have a good protein powder, they usually provide decent amount of BCAAs, and from ya diet too you should be fine

    is it instantized?

normally isoleucine and valine mix well but leucine just floats, you can add a little everclear or 100% ethanol to it and the leucine will go into solution easier

    Not sure bud.

It WILL NOT mix in water alone, even if I blend it for 5 ****ing minutes.

It has a higher Leucine content, over the other 3. 2:1:1.

Ok guys you lost me on those last two comments. My trainer reccomends to buy it in powder form, split the reccomended dose, put it on a spoon, put in my mouth and chase it with water or part of my protein shake. He reccomends 3x's per day...every day if possible...but at a minium on workout days.

    What is isoleucine, valine, leucine?

those three are the branched chain amino acids you are taking, leucine is the shiny flakey one that if you mix in water will sit on top

swifto, you can get instantized BCAAs from true protein, that what i use and they mix pretty well minus the leucine, but if you mix them in a water bottle and leave it out for an hour or so it looks really cool as the solution is clear with shiny leucinee flakes floating in it like a snowglobe, though it tastes like shit

I use SciFit BCAA Powder 5000.

I just throw a teaspoon in my mouth and chase it with water.

I would recommend the BCAA or EAA powder by Universal, just 2 teaspoon per serving with 25 servings...cheap
