Fractured Humerus, rotator cuff, Herniated 3 disk. I'm falling apart.

    DAMN IT,
My Rt shoulder is killing me when I lift. OLD rotator cuff injury and fractured humerus.
I'm gona try some Deca, maybe it will help the herniated disk also? (all 3) I was taking HGH as well as HRT Test E and on my 2nd cycle (bumped up the test e) but the HGH is just to damn expensive to keep up.

I laid off working out for almost 5 days and things did get better. I did some light bench today and my shoulder hurts again. I go on vacation in 4 weeks and will be able to lay off for 2 weeks then, I dont want to quit NOW.... I only have to make it through 3+ more weeks without hurting myself worse.

What do you/anyone think. Keep it light? Add some Deca? Get back on HGH? All/Any of the above?

I feel your pain. I was out of action for like three months last year due to an elbow, shoulder and back injury. Injuries that were bothering me from my early lifting days. I was advised to see a biokeneticist in order to rehab the injuries and I learnt that the injuries were caused my not stretching correctly, not warming up correctly but most of all the inner muscles surrounding the points of injury were not strong enough (for the back and shoulder that is).

The bio showed my simple little exercises that strengthed my inner muscles and from that point for the first time in my life I didnt have to suffer with back pain on a daily basis and my shoulder has been great ever since.

I dont know about the deca or hgh but I will say its best to see someone about it. Someone who can show you how to fix and prevent the problems. A few weeks without taining could prevent something that would keep you out for a lot longer. JMHO

I wouldn't add any deca if you're going on vacation in 4 weeks. Work around the injury if at all possible. I'm going through the same thing right now, in the same shoulder. No bb, but i can do db presses (light), light db incline. How about shoulder presses? I can't do them, but i can do raises.
I say just keep it light and do whatever you can. I look at it like this: best to be going to the gym and doing something. Rather than going overboard and sitting at the house unable to do anything.
Deca possibly when you get back from vacation. Good luck man.

Yeah good idea, Ill wait on the deca.
I did some massage therapy the other day, that helped quite a bit, about 50%. I have been doing a lot of stretching also, that hurts. LOL I read all the shoulder/rotator cuff injury stuff and trying those exercises.

Where the heck do you find a biokeneticist? Can you give me/us more information on what you are doing for recovery?

A biokeneticist is someone who has studied sport science and then specialised in biokeneticistry. Maybe in America they called something different. Here they in pretty much available in every gym.

One exercise I had to do, and was told is the most important:

start by lying on your left side, lying on your left arm which is in line with your body except the front part of your arm (from elbow onwards) is perpendicular to your body. Take a weight, not to heavy say three kgs, and twist your arm (perpendicular part) towards your right pec. After fifteen reps place the weight in your right arm which is in line with your body again except for your fore arm which is perpendicular and twist the arm starting from your left pec towards the ceiling, again fifteen reps.

Then swap and lie on your right side, repeat. This apparently works the inner muscles of your rotator-cuff, strengthening them and preventing injury. Do three sets on each side mostg days of the week.

    Hope this helps.

Ok it sounds like you are just talking about sports physical therapist more or less, not a doctor and also the basic rotator cuff exercises. I have read up on them. Yes they help. I also found DEEP massage helps but it HURTS while they are doing it but feels much better later.
