    reverse diet

So i have a question for all those who know nutrition...

i work out at 6 am, so i dont really have time to eat breakfast before i lift, so what i have been doing is eating right before i go to bed (about midnight) and i wake up go lift, then come back, class then i eat again ( i have a proten shake right after workin out) so my meals are shifted about 3 hours back, because then i usually eat around 10-11 ish, then around 3-4 ish, then about 9-10 again, then again right before i go to bed.. i have noticed that i have slimmed down alot, while not losing strength... what do yall think about this?

Personally, I guess I kinda lost you a little somewhere before 10:00 but, all I know is if it ain't broke don't fix it. It's good that you found a system that works into your schedule and gets you results.

I'm no nutrition guru, but let's say you're fasting for six hours (not enough rest in my opinion). You will be in a highly catabolic state at this time. I would suggest a protien shake and maybe some oats. Mix it all together and drink it on your way to the gym. You need carbs for energy and aminos during your workout. I think you may see better gains, if you ate.

You may be slimming down due to burning calories during your workout on an empty stomach.

that's correct. Even if you wake up at 6am to workout you should definitely give your body some calories to burn at the gym. calories = your body's fuel. Therefore, I'd suggest waking up an extra 10 - 15 minutes early, and drinking a whey protein shake (first thing in the morning your body is starved for protein) and also eat an apple or banana.

Then PWO either take another shake, or eat 8 eggs whites, etc.

you never told us the goals of this diet. are you planning on cutting or bulking? I'd assume cutting since you're only getting 3 meals. (to cut properly you should still be eating every 2 hours or so, just smaller amounts, and much lower # of calories.)
