yellow potatoe vs red white potatoe

bought some russets at sams the other day and they were yellow inside, last night i picked up some red potatoes that are white inside.

is one better then the other, health wise?

Red potato generally has a lower GI, but both of them vary greatly depending on how they're prepared.

I think either should mainly be used PWO for glycogen replenishment.

if you recommend them pwo for glycogen replenishment, then i presume their simple carbs, i was unsure because of the yellow color

Well it is a complex carbohydrates but potatoes are also low in fat, .they have one-fourth of the calories of bread, and are also a source of calcium, vitamin C, iron, potassium, and zinc.

red potatos are a 3 chained, semi-simple carbohydrate.....

    great for post work out...

if you eat a single glycogen simple carb like fructose it usualy gets stored into your liver and the rest never really gets to your muscles....
