Not sure if it helps but my wife is japanese and I love the rice they have. Anyway we got a japanese style rice cooker online, and buy Orchid rice at the store, white mixed with brown rice hit the button and never sticks to anything WELL except the other rice.

OTHERWISE, im sure some salt might help too.

you don't need a special machine to cook rice. regular pot works fine. just put rice and water in pot w/ lid. heat until boils and then turn the flame down as low as it goes. after 45 minutes take it off the heat. the rice won't stick.

never tried one of those machines.

    sure it does.

I guarentee I can make rice in a pot that is indistinguishable from in a rice cooker. what do you think a rice cooker does. It is just a hot pot with a timer and aparently yours doesn't work very good.

olive oil will prevent it from sticking, or just get some teflon non-stick cookware.

just before all the water has disolved m8 take it off the heat put a clean damp cloth on the top of it put the ld back on and put it in a med heat oven . not only will this stop the rice from sticking it will give you beautiful fluffy rice . and to stop the rice being bland . add some chicken bullion, cloves and some cinimon sticks . no need for salt . into the boiling water before adding the rice
