    hit a nerve...swollen tailbone

hey guys I was wondering if you guys could help me out...

    1) injected 1cc of test-e thursday night in my right glute. 1.5inch 25g. i aspirated and got air, no blood.
    2) hit a nerve on the way in - felt my leg tingle and go numb for half a second - nothing major
    3) it felt so minor i continued on with the injection as normal
    4) for the past couple days my tailbone has felt super bruised and sore; it's a bit swollen
    5) hurts like a bitch
    6) don't recall falling or hurting myself in any other way

i burried the needle. possibility of injecting too deep? if this were the case, what would happen to the oil?

do you guys think me hitting this nerve has caused this issue? If so, will it heal itself? how long does it usually take? should i be taking anything like ibuprofen? I've been heating the area with a heat pad a couple times a day to help with pain. or.....is it completely unrelated?
btw, 2nd week of my second cycle - test only. Same gear as the first time.

hahahahahha, sooo much can be said to that...

im no doc, but i know it's a very complicated area... refered pain in that area usualy runs down the leg (ask anyone with a slipped disk in their L5 region and they'll tell ya).. never really heard about a tailbone being swollen, but im no damn docter either..

You'll be fine. I'm a paramedic and I can tell you that you hit your sciatic nerve and thats all. I will tell you that repeated hits to this nerve and you will not be fine. You were a little off on your injection site if you did hit it. Heres a tip; locate your illiac crest, this is the most prominent portion of your hip bone, the pointy portion that sticks out, go down 2' then back another 3'-4' and thats your injection site for your glutes. hurts like a bitch dont it?

LOL, paramedic and you think he hit the sciatic nerve, if he did he would be hanging off the ceiling.
Simplified OP, inject the upper outer quadrant of you're glute.

The feeling of numbness down the leg would indicate that he applied pressure of some sort to the nerve. I think you guys are correct in that he did not directly penetrate the nerve bundle but he def did something to irritate the lower spine. I have been warned by my doc more than once to be very careful about where I perform injections to avoid nerve damage in this area. Using the illiac crest as a reference point to locate a safe injection site is good advice at any rate.

lol don't think it was the sciatic....thanks for all the advice tho guys; appreciate the help.

jamyjamjr: I think you were right about the refered pain. I asked my cousin, who's a doctor, and he said that the nerve I hit prolly runs up, and that's why it's hurting elsewhere.

The swelling is still a bit odd tho; he figures I prolly did something unrelated to cause it.

Although it still hurts, it is definately getting better; I can stop trippin out

Man........I dont know why folks insist on using 1.5 inchers. Ive used those for glutes and always get crazy pains and soreness for days afterward. Now I use 1inch and never have problems. Unless youa carrying alot of fat back there I say switch to 1 inchers.
