Basically the Bolivian government shot a few Irish guys and are claiming they were ''commandos'' sent by the Irish government to assasinate the president and de-stabalise the country.
Can anyone say paranoid ?

I skimmed the artice very quickly but, I don't think it's saying the Irish gvmt or IRA is venturing into Bolivia.

The Bolivian gvmt is saying the wealthy regions who oppose the socialist gvmt are contracting with private individuals to help overthrow the president. It may well not be true but this is what they are alleging...Mr Morales said 'They are foreign mercenaries - they are Irish, Hungarians and of course there are no Bolivians.'

Only the country of orgin of the mercenaries happens to be Irish, not that they are saying Ireland or an Irish organization is involved.

Ireland is saying, "hey, why'd you kill one of our citizens?" and their explaination is that he was hired help.
