    Above is my intro post. As you can see, I went in and got a hernia operation, boo hoo... whatever.

    I had ordered a bottle of clen (40mcg X 100) with the intention of doing some cutting to go along with packing some mass on. I had about 12 weeks before I was going to move (back home to the good ol USA) and wanted to max out on changes to myself. Well, mother nature intervened, and hernia happened.

    So, I got this bottle of clen. My surgery worked out fine, but the docs are telling me 2 months, no lifting, cardio OK. Well, my mass routine will have to wait. Gives me a chance to accomplish another goal. To shred up a bit.

    Current Stats/status:

    Post OP hernia
    34 year old
    just getting back into working out after long hiatus
    5'10" 205 (post OP put 10 lb on me)

    I have cleaned my diet out nearly completely as a result of my intro post and members recommendations. Obviously, I am going to have to adjust my diet to make up for the lack of weight training.

    I am planning on hitting 1g/lb CHON, then fibre based carbs + no refined carbs and some EFA based fats.

    The training is this...

    AM one hour at 140BPM heartrate
    PM jog/walk 30 minutes. (trying to get up to 30 min sustained (or a 5k)

    I have experience with ECA. I found the headaches, jitters and sleep loss to be on the verge of "not worth it for me".. When I heard and found out about the possible lower sides of clen, it seemed like an interesting option.

    So the clen will look like this

    6 weeks
    week one, build up to 120mcg/day
    week two same (if needing more or less, with adjustment)
    week 3, run with diphenhydramine
    week 4 same as 2
    week 5 same as 2
    week 6 as above, with diphenhydramine as needed for sleep


    And, I am already a week in.

    DIFFERENCES BETWEEN ECA AND CLEN

    After this week, I can say that the jitters are 1/10 that of the ECA. I have had zero heart flutters, palpitations, etc. I think that 120mcg is a good dose for me. I sleep OK. (consuming 1/3 of the daily dose every hour or so until last dose at noon).... I have been waking up a little earlier than usual. I am pretty sweaty all day (not unbearably, but it is there) and at night.. I put a terry cloth towel over my pillow so it doesn't get "wet". I am down to 200 from 205 in a week. Also, unlike ECA, my appetite is not really suppressed. And no hair standing up, and my junk doesn't seem to be suffering from "shrinkage" as in, jump in a cold swimming pool shrinkage like it did under ECA...

    **I am doing this at the same time as starting a cardio program, so my newb gains may become evident here**

    The diet is going great. I have not eaten a refined carb in a week. People are commenting already on how good I look. (Maybe I just feel better 1 month post -op and all the runner's high)

    I am not sure if this log will interest anyone.. Maybe a look at the non weight training effect of clen? Anyways, so far, I love it. Not sure if ECA was just wrong for me, or if I had the wrong dose, but clen seems much more body friendly to me, IMHO.

    i'd be weary of cutting without a weight training regime and only cardio, I hope you don't lose too much muscle... but as I'm going to run clen for the first time coming up soon, I'm interested in how this works out for you, I'll be following. good luck!

    Some more stuff:

    I take my BP pretty regularly. (Nurse Here)
    Anyways, I am a solid 110/70 type guy. Took it today around 3 pm? 120/70. Not too bad. Also, the scale said 197, so after 8 days, I see a 8 lb difference on the scale. I pissed like a race horse for the first couple of days, and that has backed off a bit. I am eating a banana every day, with water and electrolytes when I feel lethargic.

    Plain water is at about 5L per day.

    I am picking up a bottle of taurine tomorrow. I am watching my heart pretty close. As I have stated though, clen is certainly a lot different for me that ECA. Way more tolerable sides, and a mellower, "slow burn".

    i agree that weight training is vital, but im curious about the muscle saving properties of clen and how that might help you. good luck!

    I am holding right now at the 197 level (8lb loss) after two weeks. Improvements are coming in though despite the weight "holding".. My arms are becoming more vascular and I am hardening up all over. I still get all sweaty, though not as profoundly so as when I started. I have to admit, I am not sure if this is mostly from my huge diet overhaul or the clen, or both in general, but with 4+ weeks left, I think this is a great direction for me to take until of course I can begin training again properly. I had to drop a couple of training sessions due to... the weather... But that is what you get when you live in a tropical developing nation.

    I am ready to kick in the diphenhydramine, maybe that is where the results will take off again.

    I cannot stress enough that Clen is a much better compound for me than ECA. I don't have the hair-raising, trembly perma headache issues, and no effect at all towards my sleep. Very satisfied so far. If I can drop 20lb in 6 weeks going this way, I will be very happy.

    I don't have another cardio only experience to share for the sake of research, but through just dieting, I went from a 235 to a 190 in about 8 months, about 6 months ago... I think I hold onto muscle pretty well for someone who doesn't train, but I used to train a lot in my early and mid 20s, and wonder how much muscle memory is still there.

    I agree about the muscle loss of a cardio only routine.. That was a small factor for the clen, as I had read about some of the anti-catabolistic tenancies of it. It is really too soon to tell, but I am so far, not down any muscle "tone" that I can see, and if anything, I feel some overall hardening, though I am not talking anything significant like the feeling of DOMS and a good stretch. More or less, just some enhanced contraction stuff. I feel pretty strong, kind of a waste, but I can't re-injure myself..

    Some updated stuff.

    I decided to change a few things up.

    About 2 weeks to the day (+2), I noticed that my temp seemed (and was confirmed) to be normal. I was not sweating beyond normal, and the workout was decidedly not sweaty enough.

    Instead of running the clen alongside the diphenhydramine directly, I chose to take an entire day off of clen to cool my jets a little. That evening I took 25mg diphenhydramine and slept soundly. (though I have not had trouble sleeping since on clen, fyi)

    The next day, I felt great, and started clen again, going for a "ramp up dose" of 40mcg (my normal daily being 120mcg). I broke a light sweat, had a decent workout, then took the diphenhydramine again that evening.

    The following day I took my regular 120 mcg before noon and "boom", I am back to sweatin' and living the clen life again. Today, the day after that, I had my most sweaty day yet, having to change t-shirts during the day, just sitting there, sweating. I am planning on finishing the 7 days of diphenhydramine for this week's clen cycle.

    My BP is 110/70 today, my resting HR is about 100 or so, yet I am sweating like a pig. This is awesome. Hardly any shakes, etc.

    Training wise, I have made some changes as well. Instead of doing two full hours of treadmill sessions, I have replaced my PM workout with an intense interval "tabata" protocol. I am in and out of the gym in around 45 minutes, including warm up, interval, cool down, sauna, shower and everything. A record for me.

    I am leaning out quite nice, and not losing any observable lean mass as far as I can tell. The scale is saying 195 today, but I bet by the beginning of next week, I will hit 190.

    In the future, I will be repeating my day off of clen, dihpenhydramine and ramp up again when I sense a drop off in response to the compound..

    So far, I have lost 5lb on the scale in 2.5 weeks. Not a huge amount, but my goal is to get lean, not really to lose weight, and this is happening.

    The diet got a big boost on eggs. I acquired a great source, so I am eating giant egg white/beansprout/onion omelets in addition to the rest of the food. during a day, I eat one banana, a slice of whole grain toast with butter and a choice of either lentils or oatmeal or squash for carbs (0 liquid carbs, only water and black coffee). CHON is from chicken breast, lean stewed beef, egg whites and fish/seafood of all kinds, especially blue marlin (not "marlin" as we know it, more of a tuna), yellowfin, dorrado, milkfish, mackerel, squid and mussels. (What can I say, I am in seafood paradise here). I throw in green salads for fun, fiber and variety.
