Diabetic? passed out, health saftey...

So I was stuck with a needle for a I.V. bag.. my buddy didnt have the plastic tube in all the way and it poped out before hookin up the tube and everything else.. well anyways.. so i was sitting there and then i felt a sudden rush to my head and got light headed.. and i was like **** not again.. i usually know when i am about to pass out.. well not even 2seconds after feeling light headed i passed out. and my buddy said i tensed up and had a small seizure. lasted like 20seconds i guess. well it wasnt cuz i saw blood or anything like that.. its just something i cant help. like about 8 months ago i got my finger crushed in a door and i passed out cuz it hurt like a bitch..hahah.. well i am thinking it has something to do with sugar intake. for an example, getting a tatto and started to get light headed so i ate a candy bar and everything was good.

with all that said.. i am about to start my cycle here soon. i mean i can just make sure i get some sweets before i pin myself and i will be good.. but on a tottally differnt aspect... health safety.. what do u vets think about all this.

I wouldn't worry much about it. What that sounds like to me (and i am not a doctor) is classic shock. It can happen without seeing blood and it doesn't mean you are a p*ssy. I have it happen all the time. I race motorcycles so i break sh*t a lot. Every time i go to get something drained (big pin) i know i am going to pass out (i am not diabetic). I tell the doc in advance so that i can lay down.

It starts with feeling light headed and dizzy, sweating a lot, then I pass-out, and then i am fine.

I alway feel like a p*ssy when it happens, but keep in mind I have had stitches without being numb, compound fractures, tore more ligaments than i can count, and i was fine...but start to drain some fluid and i am going down...just the way i am.

Oh and as for the candy bar thing, it probably has to do with distracting you from what is happening.

A lot of shock can have to do with a foreign object within the body, so does not have to do with pain threshold.

ya but sometimes i am good.. i think it has something to do with sugar levels.. like a couple weeks ago i was bored so i gave myself an IV.. hahah. do u know how hard that is. i wasnt thinking and i put it in my arm.. i should have put it in my leg or something but i put it in my arm and only had one hand to do anything.. hhahaha but i was fine.
