1/2 Workout one day and another half the other? Odd question.

So the other day im chillen in my ride, just thinkin' as I often do while driving, and I'm thinking, I wonder what would happen (or if its effective) if you worked out lets say your back one day, but you only did HALF the exercises, then came back the next day and did the rest.... Would the muscle be atrophied rendering the workout "ineffective", or would growth still be experienced on the days forthcoming due to the fact that only HALF a workout was done on the previous day?

For instance, lets say Im working out biceps, halfway thru my workout, and suddenly I have to leave in a hurry for whatever reason. If I came back the next day and did the other half of my bicep workout, would it still be as effective as working it out in a single day? I wonder...

anyway hope all is well with all my friends here... likewise with people whom arent. =)

    auf w.

once you do a couple working sets, you need at least 24 hours of rest

lets say you normall yo 6 sets of biceps and only 3 (half) in your scenario. at 100 percent intensity like you perform every set. keep in mind without at least 24 hours rest you will be overtraining

so who cares, you got a shitty workout that day. leave it as is it probly did more good than if you finished the full, given how many sets you usually perform/how long you have been on the routine for

I would just chalk it up as a light day and move on. Hit it hard next week. If it bothers you that much just throw in some bicep excercises on leg day or hit your back the following night

The muscle was worked, the muscle was taxed, and torn down to some extent, therefore it would need time to recover and rebuild

SO, I would just wait and work it the next normal interval
