newbe worried about injection site

hey. I injuected 100mgs of test c into my left thigh 4 0r 5 inches above my knee. that is where my source advised and assisted me to inject. that was monday. it gradually got more sore and red and swollen. today is friday and my knee is red and warm and pretty swollen. It is my first time using any kind of steroid. I just want to know if this could be a site reaction or if it is an infection? can anyone please help?

This could be bad. Are you running a temp or have any signs of infection?

IMO ...you def injected too close to tour knee. I've heard to use the "length of your hand" above the knee as a guide. On myself that works out to about 8 inches above the knee and puts the site pretty much "mid quad". Obviously you are looking for a good meaty spot, so you'll guarantee injecting into muscle.

You've prob caused some damage that has become an infection. You can try Advil (anti-inflamatory), and heating, but if the situation doesn't improve on it's own in the next day or 2 ..then def go see your doctor. You may need an antibiotic to fix things.

ok thanks alot you guys. thats what I thought too. to close to the knee. No Im not running a fever or anything thank god. I have been icing it though. is heat the better way to go? Ill give it until monday before I go see a doctor.
