    Why does my doctor test HCG?

    On my last bloodtest my doctor took HCG. Havent got the results back yet. Why does my doctor test my HCG level? Shouldnt he be testing LH ?

    Sorry for spamming the forum with questions but i have tried search and google.

    Im male, 30 years.

    It is used as a tumor marker for different types of cancer including testicular cancer.
