    "Fast and Furious" Cars

If you could pick your top 3 "fast and furious" cars, what would they be?
Doesn't have to be cars from the movies, but cars you could see being in the movies. Obviously cars like the Bugatti Veyron are out of the question lol.

    1) Corvette ZR1, but that would be a really short movie because the vette would easily dominate everything else.

    2) SSC Ultimate Aero

    3) Saleen S7

    x2

I'll add a fouth one to my list of 3:
1970 Chevelle SS 454 with the LS6 Engine Option

(the stock LS6 at 450 hp (340 kW) produced more power than any other stock production engine offered by any manufacturer during the golden age of muscle cars (which most people consider to be from 1965 to 1972).-Quote from Wiki

Those cobra's and and SVT lightning are probably the only ford cars I would ever consider buying. Cobra's can be made wicked fast with a few bucks. I just hate dealing with 20 feet of timing chain when popping the heads off and swapping cams on those damn engines. Give me a good ol pushrod V8 with one cam any day....

I actually do, but they are more a cruising car than an all out performance car IMHO. They are pretty heavy and do not perform well for a car with that much brake horsepower in the 1/4. Having said that, it would not be to hard to make the car perform better. However the car is so stylish that I myself would have a hard time cutting up the car to take out some weight and put on some slicks and a solid axle swap.

I probably would just get a base GT stang, drop a 5.4l truck motor or even a 6liter GM engine conversion (heresy I know) and drop a turbo or KB supercharger on top of it with a forged bottom and run a shit load of boost through it. Solid axle swap and maybe a role cage and boom, 10sec car for a total of 40-50 grand and there is your GT500 price with a car that has a lot more balls. Of course I would do all the work myself...

Well maybe not right at the gt500 price but you get the point.

I think the car is beautiful...... but i'd have tomake the same arguement as MS.....

One buys a Shelby gt500 for the name..... novelty..... you don't spend 80k (here in jersey) only to cut it up......

I personaly would buy the 03/04 cobra - do a full exhaust, computer chip, cold air kit, smaller SC pulley, and a solid axel swap...... you're good to go right there. IMO you don't need anything faster than that to beat 95% of the cars on the road today...... a 10 second or low 11 second street car is pretty damn nice lol.....
