Muscle takes from 7-10 days for full recovery. Basing your workout on a 1 body part per week will be best for recovery and prevention of overtraining.

I agree with my bro's here. 7-10 days for full recovery. I've heard and beleive in as a rule of thumb, to hit each body part no more than once every 7-8 days at 1 body part per day.
Good catch, typing too fast.Originally posted by majorpecs

EACH body part once a week
Cool deal guy that what I knew already just want to make sure I was doing it right. Now what if u do two a day?
Two bodyparts? This will not be a problem if they are not large muscle groups . i.e. quads and back
Er...back is among the largest muscle groups in your body! Not a good example!Originally posted by sonic

Something like bi's and calves would be okay.
ummm i think sonic was giving examples of two large muscle groups not two groups to work together.
just a misunderstanding
is this a good way to train ragardless of AS use or not, say for a teenager, because i feel weak if i dont work out the BIG muscle groups everyother day, ie; quads, and chest.
If you are still able to workout a large muscle group 2 days after you have just trained, chances are you don't train intense enough. Here is a split I use, I am natural, no gear.
Day 1:Chest/Bis
Day 2:Legs
Day 3:Rest
Day 4:Shoulders/Tris
Day 5:Back
Day 6:Rest
Day 7:Rest or Repeat
Reason for this split is it gives at least 2 days in between for chest and shoulders/tris cuz you work your shoulders and tris during chest. Same goes with legs and back since you use your abs as stabilizer muscles and secondary muscles like hams and glutes get worked during dead lifts.
Doing each body part more than once or maybe even upt to twice a week is definatly over training. Try increasing your intensity level of your workouts.
