    Mike Tyson’s daughter dies after accident in home

    PHOENIX (AP)—Police say the 4-year-old daughter of boxer Mike Tyson has died a day after her neck accidentally was caught in a treadmill cord while she was playing at home.

    Phoenix police spokesman Andy Hill said Exodus Tyson was pronounced dead in a hospital just before noon Tuesday. Police have said an investigation showed it was a “tragic accident.”

    Police say the girl was playing on the treadmill Monday when her head apparently slipped inside a cord hanging under the console. Exodus’ 7-year-old brother found her and alerted his mother.

    Former heavyweight champion Tyson was in Las Vegas at the time of the accident and flew to Phoenix on Monday.

    When i was a kid i was rolling a basketball on my fathers treadmill. It rolled off the end between the moving belt and the floor, sucked my ball in like there was no tomorrow. Made a lot of funny sounds then spit it out of the top. Needless to say it didn't work after that.

    Mike is certainly a little off in the head, but he was promoting a fight doing that, I'm sure he never actually had intentions of eating anyone's kids.

    I did not have much of a mother growing up, and a former boss of mine, was one of the only people to really ever look out for me. I did everything on my own and in REALLY hard times, she checked up on me, and called me more than my own mother.

    She recently lost her 20 year old youngest son in a house fire. I've never cried at a funeral and at the showing, I saw her, gave her a hug and tears just started flowing. I can't imagine the pain of loosing your baby boy or girl.

    I feel really sad for Mike and his whole family. I can't imagine what he's going through right now. Hopefully the baby is in a better place now.

    You can't watch a kid 24/7.

    Who honestly would think a child could die on a treadmill?

    At 4 I was climbing tree's, playing outside, hanging upside down on monkey bars and fighting with other boys.

    I certainly could be dead, any of us could.
