When is it ok to eat carbs

I almost always workout in the morning but sometimes I workout at night. The question I always ask myself is should i eat carbs in my PPWO. I normally eat a complex carb. At night when i workout it usually around 8 or 9pm after my kids go to bed.

Now as my PWO i always have my 50g of protein and 75g of carbs via a shake. Whey and Dextrose.

The night PPWO should be 50g of protein and how many grams of carbs.

Consider i will most likely wake up around 7am and eat another complex carb, oatmeal and train at 8am.

if i were you, this is how i would run my PWO

immedaitely after weights and cardio- 2:1 ratio of carbs to protein so...

    25g whey
50g waxy maize or oats.. i wouldnt do the dex

then refeed the meal at night with EFA's like almond/olive oil/fish oil and a lean protein source, and leafy green veggies.. thats how i would run that

i believe that most people would agree that consuming a quick carb like sugar PWO is important to protect the body from using the muscle tissue that is existent for energy.

    Am I wrong?

I consume the complex carbs in my PPWO meal that occurs usually 1 hour after i drop the weights. My routine is to shower and drive to work and then eat.
