how do you know tha t it is dropping when your running/lifting?
If your using a home bp machine change the batterys or plug it into the wall.
It could be a shitty machine
You probably have nothing to worry about if you bloodpressure is fine normally. Your not suppost to check it during exercise
don't know but 100 / 60 wouldn't make me worry.
Ya that is a great machine I have this one too.. I used to work in a heart center. It is pushing it. We checked so many bp's a day. You need to get to a dr if your systoilc drops below 100 and if your diastolic drops under 50.
If it were me I would be up my dr a$$ til I got some good answers
Why were you checking it in the first place, do you feel lightheaded or dizzy or anything after you start running??
Yes i do, but only when i take my energy shake but not to a point where I was worried. a year ago my doctor hooked me up to a heart/stress monitor and got me on a treadmill, he said everything looked good just out of shape physically.
to answer your question, i only used it to monitor my heart beat rate, I don't have a heart beat monitor so i am using this for now until i get one.
Well if your taking an "energy shake" , if its something like super pump 250 or another one of those NO drinks those are gonna cause vasodilation, which could cause that bp drop depending on how much your taking
when i am not exercising my BP is perfect. i found this chart which may help answer some of the questions, i also read that people who's BP elevates during exercise are more likely to end up with HBP and have to take medications, but in my case is the opposite. I will ask my doctor the next time I see him and report back here...thanks for all your replies.
