    Best time to take a no carb shake? 100% pro

    Hey

    I have two shakes I take...

    I have a shake thats also a weight gainer, 1200 cals, 182 carbs, 80g protein.

    And I have a ISO XP shake, which has no fat, no carbs, only 420 cals, but has 100g of protien in it. Its whey.

    Which shake should I take post work out?

    And which shake should I take at a different time in the day? And at what time in the day??

    dump the gainer, take the whey PWO with a carb source.

    Whats your reasoning for this?

    The gainer has actually helped alot in my bulking.

    The pure protein shake, im not sure when to take it?

    I bet it has!! As long as adding muscle and fat in equal amounts is your goal leave it in. (hoping thats not your goal)

    also 100g protein?? I wouldn't recommend more than 50g at any one time..

    Some fat is good.. gaining weight especially fat around the organs and all over the body simply so that you weigh more isn't healthy at any age..

    Well theres onl 12g fat per shake on the weight gainer, and I limit myself to 60g per day of fat, so it cant be too bad???

    Ok so if I split the other shake up, 50g and 50g, when is the best time to take them? How about one in the morning and one before bed?

    And the weight gainer post workout? (as its got 182 carbs in it)?

    haha... persistent..

    Take it when you don't have the chance to eat real food..

    or... when you need to get the cals in say..30 minutes before a resistance training session..

    remember, you cannot consume fats or carbs with that shake, otherwise it will take more than 20 minutes to digest..

    so mix with water..

    Yes thats me in the AVI, was taken last month, but I dont know if its just me being paranoid seeing as my cycle ended last month, but I dont feel as big LOL!!

    My goals. well my chest is quite big and where I want it to be, my current goal is to make my arms bigger, and add 15 pounds.

    I wanted to know if its a good idea or not to take a protein only shake of 50g before bed?

    And one in the morning?

    Haha yeah im persistant, and im about to go to work so wanted to post it up before I left.

    weight gainer shake is not that good imo, also 180 plus gram carbs in one sitting?
    the whey shake 100g protein is too much imo

    I know, and I am taking the points onbaord guys, thanks.

    The whey protein is good though, I just do not know when to take it, and noone is telling me? I will split it into two 50g shakes, but when should I take them?

    well one as pwo, of course include carbs since it is the pwo shake, umm the second i dont know if you really need it, just have whole food as a meal, but if its a must you can have the shake, but make sure it matches all your macros break down.

    That weight gainer is crap, there is no way you need 180g carb at one time, and that is a fact. The 50g protein, well I guarantee a guy your size doesnt need 50g protein at any given time either.

    But if you really wanna use it so bad twice a day (not sure why) then best times to use whey protein are immediately upon rising and PWO.

    That's my advice simply answering your questions.

    But as for the best possible results, dump both shakes and start eating real food and in the right proportions. There is no time in the day I would ever recommend anyone take protein alone with no energy source of any kind.

    I just wanna know where to get a protein shake with 100g of protein in one serving. Most protein drinks ive seen only do like 25-40 and they aren't very appealing to the taste buds. Where can i get this stuff? ill keep one in the the fridge and sip on it all day. I don't care if it taste like dog shit as long as i don't have to drink but 1 serving.

    i completly agree, if he really wants to have the pro shake for pwo, he will have to add some carbs to that..

    have you read anything weve been talking about? shakes should only be PWO and thats if that. there are many great tasting high quality proteins out there.

    You don't want a 100g of protein in one serving. Read what C-Bino JUST wrote. The only way to be successful is to break your intake up through out the day. Not all at once. Wasteful and not beneficial

    Just make a big shake at once and put it in your fridge. If your protein powder is 25 grams of protein per serving, put four scoops in with the recommended amount of water. Now you have a shake that has 100 grams of protein in it.
