scary! propecia and sides . . .

Hey,

On 4th week of first cycle, test (500mg/wk) and finasteride (1mg ed) . . .

I haven't experienced any elevation of libido that I expected from the test and my erections have not been as strong or as frequent as before the cycle?? Suspecting this could be the finasteride I did some research and found this http://www.propeciahelp.com/forum/ Scary huh!

Also thought I should mention, i have had some early signs of gyno which i'm assuming could be down to the elevation of estrogen due to their being less DHT to oppose it, am now treating it with nolva. Could the high estro levels also be effecting my sexual function??

I know there are alot of hairloss posts, but just after anyones experiences with this drug, side effects on cycle or lasting effects after they ceased using the drug?? May discontinue the propecia and battle the wrath of dht with niz and spiro.

have u tried saw palmetto, pygeum and pumpkin seed oil for blocking DHT?? That stopped my hairloss dead.

So is your question, that your member isn't getting as hard as you think it should be?
A high or elevated estrogen level could def make your member less ready to hang a flag from. A high estrogen level = less desire. need to get your estro in check.

I have been taking propecia for over 5 years and it has totally helped me with my hairline. Also I have never had any sides on propecia

No i havent but i heard saw palmetto can be as effective as finasteride . . .

Yeah not as hard, and not as much desire as i would of thought from 500mg of test per week, thought i'd be a walking truncheon! I'm also concerned about any potential permanent sides relating to propecia useage . . .

I have dropped to 0.5mg per day of the fina and ordering some spiro to go along with my nizoral. I am using Nolva to block receptors in the breast from estrogen, du think i should also get some a-dex to keep circulating levels in check??

Don't stress Finasteride only blocks 20 to 30% of DHT in MOST people everyone is different and you might have some bad sides. Personaly I have used it for 2 years with no sides when im on test my hair still falls out just not as fast. Ur probably shut down from the test ur taking stop using finasteride should be out of ur system in 5 days.

ok heres the story i took propecia(finasteride) for 3 days, on the 2nd day i felt testicle pain. i quit fin after 3rd day and continued to experience testicle pain for a week,after this for two months i felt pressure in my testicles and my dick went numb and testicles hung very low..now its 6 months later and im having good days where my dick could get hard but not like it used to be, and bad days where my dick is completely numb. i also feel no sensitivity in my dick and my testicles i think are back to normal,but my nipples got much bigger..i currently been taking a multi vitamin with zinc, cranberry extract(for prostate) butchers broom, grapeseed, horse chestnut, eleuthero. and thinking about taking on my bad days horny goat weed or tribulus which my trainer recommended.....
my questions are 1. what did finasteride do to my body according to the sides im telling you? 2.what can i do to recover?(my sides are very similar to coming off steroid sides ,hcg clomid therapy?) 3. is it better to wait it out or better to take action?

p.s. finasteride is similar to saw palmetto but stronger

My personal, unscientific opinion is that propecia and even more so, advodart, are two immasculating drugs. They both block possibly the biggest differentiating hormone between men and women, DHT.

That being said, my frontal hairline is starting creep back, and wish their was a solution that could help other than those two.

are you guys using 1mg or 5mg of propecia. I am going to start with 1mg because I heard there isnt much of a differnce in the effect but sides effects really go up when taking the 5mg.
