Thread: How much cardio is too much?

How much cardio is too much?

Pretty much I have completed 1 full cycle and just finished my PCT.
I am happy with the gains I made during my cycle now I continue to lift as heavy as possible to try and retain most of my gains.

I currently do 15 - 20 mins a day cardio, 6 days out of every 8, but want to get back into kickboxing as it is awesome cardio training and good fun, dont want to do too much cardio. Is training twice a week for 1 hr, working your arse off on top of what I am currently doing too much cardio?

    Thanks

i run 45mins about 4 to 5 times a week on cycle as well as off but im not one of those i wanna gain 30lbs type of guys. Yea i feel the more cardio you do the more likely you will lose muscle,, you just gotta diet that much better to offset it.

RANA's right...we need to know your goals.

But in all reality. 15-20min of cardio 6x week isn't *that* much

Also depends on his body type, metabolism, and other factors.

At what point... meaning BF wise do you abandon the Heavy Cardio if your Goals are to be Massive... I am talking Branch Warren/Jay Cutler Massive??? 12%?? 10%?? Lower??

I mean I am hovering in the 18-20% range myself right now... I don't wanna start a whole new thread.. I know i know i know.. NO HIJACKING !! but it's just a quick Q.. that applies to this Q. I do 30 min (HIIT) [High Intensity Interval Training] 5 TIMES per week... it seems to be melting the fat off me.. and I haven't seen a diminishing in my muscle mass or in my strength... but at what point do I drop it to that 15-20 minutes 3 times a week so I can reach the goal of being a Massive Beast... because that's my ultimate LONG TERM goal..

I should probably start my own thread.. which I will tomorrow if you GUYS say I should... and where should I post this?? Workout routine?? Not in this forum right?? Let me know bros... I am just tired and this Question popped in my head... so ... answer it if you want or tell me to start my own thread in the appropriate section so I can start my learning curve on this whole avenue... THANKS MY BRETHREN !!!

I think with that you answered your own question. You are dropping wgt and keeping you mass. You will have to figure out what you want your bf% to be and once you get there you can drop your cardio to a maintance cardio. I.E. 20 mins 4 times per week at a low intensity pace. But you will have to figure out how your body response, some need more. Hope this helps

Yes of course that helps brotha... I just wanted to make sure i was on the right path with my thinking and such thats all, all I really need to focus on is being a stickler to my diet... which I am not going to lie... I have been slipping on since the conclusion of my cycle and my return to TRT...

My next step is to head to the diet forum !!
