    Looking for advice

I am 41 years old and have worked out on a regular basis for about a year and a half. However, I have been displeased with the results. It seems as though my body just doesn't respond very well. I assume that it could be because of my age. I have been told that hormone production decreases with age. I've thought about using anabolic steroids in order to help me achieve my goals. Is this a bad idea at my age? Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

    Welcome to AR

First thing I would do at your age is go get your blood levels checked and see just where your hormones are,as if they are low, you may qualify for TRT and get a script for Test.

after that, I would have the guys in the diet section look over your current diet, as that is 89% of making gains.... If you are not happy with your results in the gym, chances are your diet is NOT what it needs to be in order to make those gains

third, then I would consider doing a cycle of Test ONLY for 12 weeks BUT there is MORE to it than just taking a steroid, so don't expect to jump right in. there are many things you will need to know about and have on hand for during and most importantly AFTER your cycle is done

My buddy is 47, (looks 37) he just took 2nd place in the lehigh valley competition last month. We have bounced (security) together for years and he has no problem keeping up with the youngsters. I say welcome aboard....

    ^^^^ I second everything T-Mos said.....

Also.... my father is 47 and still cycles..... he's on testosterone replacement therapy..... he's been to the doc.... had his levels tested.....

Starting with the doc.... then optimizing your diet is definately the right way to start out.
