Overseas and the Holidays

I wanted to know if it's best to wait after Christmas or I could order now from my overseas contact, was just wondering if they seize or open more packages at Canadian customs during the christmas period.

Well, I don't know from "ordering" experience, but having worked at CanPost in the parcels sorting division of the big plant on the T-Can here, I can tell you that from mid november until early january they are SO swamped with Xmas parcels that statistically alone the chances are better.

They hired a lot of us "temps" to get the sorting work done, but C**toms Canada which has a "no-mans-land" in the plant doesn't get extra employees.

At least thats how it was when I worked there a few years ago.
