    Shoulder pain..

my shoulder as has been hurting for a good while , i have done the rotator cuff excerise to see if its torn or injured, i feel good untill i rotate my elbow in upward motion and i feel the sharp pain in my shoulder,, i can bench as long a i keep my elbows tucked in, but if i open up it kills me.. so what do u think.. torn or just injured? the doc told me to take a week off and i should feel better. still the same pain and it been about 2 months now. Am i going to half to pay for the MRI to get a true answer?

Sorry to hear . Did you refrain from all exercises when you took week off ? Strains take long time to heal . Tears might require surgery . Stick with cardio while you rest upper body . Are you natural or any supplementation involved ? good luck !

if you took LEGIT time off (meaning no upper body lifting) and pain is still there... MRI(ortho doc) seems necessary. For meantime, glucosamine chondroitin seems to be the only supplement out there for it...

im legit now, due to work testing for steroids, i have been clean for 2years, i just take over the counter stuff to help build muscle, that stuff is more expensive than the real stuff..lol well i did pull excerices like back and bi's but no press's shoulders or bench, i feel like its getting better but afraid to really test it, dont want to set back any healing that has happened,

I've got a partially torn rotator cuff and I was out for 6 months. I couldnt even shift gears in my car. I would get the MRI for sure you don't want to take any chances shoulder injuries arent a joke.

That sucks man I messed up both of my shoulders from years of playing ball (AC joints and rotator cuffs are shot), I never lower the bar all the way to my chest, I stop alittle bit below 90 degrees on all pressing movements. This has helped my shoulders feel alot better.
