Today I aspirated and for the first time I saw blood, this is amazing to me because in hundreds of sticks I've always aspirated and never drew blood. I know through formal and informal training that if an IM injection draws blood one should discard not only the needle but its entire contents. I only bring that up because one of my fellow gym goers told me, if that should happen to him he would just replace the needle. Please folks if there is a drop of blood in that oil, it doesnt belong in your muscle (without a return path). Basically you are injecting a bruise with a greater potential of infection. Just looking out.
