Aspiration is worth it

Today I aspirated and for the first time I saw blood, this is amazing to me because in hundreds of sticks I've always aspirated and never drew blood. I know through formal and informal training that if an IM injection draws blood one should discard not only the needle but its entire contents. I only bring that up because one of my fellow gym goers told me, if that should happen to him he would just replace the needle. Please folks if there is a drop of blood in that oil, it doesnt belong in your muscle (without a return path). Basically you are injecting a bruise with a greater potential of infection. Just looking out.

As long as it's "your blood", and it's small, try to push the drop out.As you would when clearing air.Then definitely change the pin.

I dont even bother changing the pin just change spots and inject.

honestly its happened to me a couple times i always just pull out re enter and inject dont switch needles never got an infection or had a problem. who cares about a bruise.

Tea always heard you could inject your OWN blood back in and just choose a new site

Sorry to tell you but your wrong. Change the pin and redo the hit this has been talked about a million times on this board alone!
